Evan graduated with a Master of Architecture degree from the Dalhousie Faculty of Architecture, in Halifax, NS in 2000. Upon graduation he moved to New York where he worked at several firms, including Ennead (previously Polshek Partnership) on a renovation project for the American Museum of Natural History and Samuel Anderson Architects on the renovation of an historical brownstone at the Pierpont Morgan Library & Museum.

Evan worked with Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects from 2002 to 2024. During that time he participated in and lead several prominent large scale projects from inception to completion. Projects including Skirkanich Hall at the University of Pennsylvania, the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment at Princeton University and finally the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.

Evan was the lead architect on the winning competition proposal for the Logan Center for the Arts at the University of Chicago, and he lead a successful master planning design for the Columbus Museum of Art expansion.

Evan moved to Santa Fe, NM from New York in 2021. He teaches Architectural Design Studio at the University of New Mexico and teaches local high school students in UNM S+P Architecture + Design’s Summer Academy Program. Evan is an appointed member of the Santa Fe Water Conservation Committee and a registered Architect in the states of New York and New Mexico.
